Carried Objectives was an endurance-based performance that consisted of the artist continuously holding trays upright while serving beverages for two hours. It served as a test of how much weight the artist's body could carry and as a metaphor for the emotional and physical fortitude that queer individuals must bear. The piece also explored the gendered expectations faced by women and femme-identifying individuals in the queer community within the hospitality industry. The performance aimed to create an environment where participants could commune and remember the queer establishments that have closed. Carried Objectives occurred on Saint Patrick's Day, March 17th, 2022, at the NARS Foundation in Brooklyn, New York.

Special thanks to Elisa Gutiérrez, Katherine Plourde, Juno Lee, the NARS Foundation, my cohort, and the Canada Council for the Arts for their generous support.
