The Garden Weaver is a series of cyanotype images on cloth that explore experiences of sensory overload and isolation and the role textiles have in calming the nervous system. The cyanotypes depict figures draped in cloaks, sleeping on pillows, and covered with blankets that the artist has created over the last ten years. These items include sleeping pillows for sensory deprivation, quilts, and bedspreads. The choice of fabric as a medium references the historical significance of textiles as vessels for storytelling and identity.

Central to this project is the theme of human touch—not only as a topic but as an experience. Embellishments using embroidery thread and knitting yarn have been added in some instances to emphasize bodily contact and encourage viewers to touch the works. The series explores sensory processing and examines emotional and physical responses to images and textiles. The work encourages feeling and touch as essential to comprehending our surroundings and our place within them.
